Moseley School 1993 (Pre Restoration)
Including 70th Anniversary Reunion
by Malcolm Drew
In 1993, Spring Hill College (the former Grammar School building) was virtually derelict and had it not been for its grade II listed building status would almost certainly have been demolished. In an attempt to raise awareness of the problems, and possibly some cash, a team led by Gaye Key and the then head teacher Mary Miles, organised a reunion and formal evening meal for former pupils and staff. The event was a great success and the catalyst for reforming the Moseleians Association. As we know the money was raised and by 1999 the building had not only been saved but also restored to its former glory.
