A Moving Experience
Over the next few weeks we will be moving the schools archive from the tower to its new ground floor home
To prepare for the move the archive group have started to build new shelving units to compliment those which will need to be moved from the existing archive during the transfer.
Moseleians Association chairman Richard Cobb said "This is going to be a long operation as getting the large number of items stored in the archive down the tower steps and into their new home will take hundreds of trips and be very tiring. We will need the help of our members."
Over the next few weeks the archive group will make preparations for the move and are calling on association members to come along to Moseley School at 10am on Tuesday 7th August to help. To offer your assistance please contact Richard Cobb using the form below.
The plan is to have the majority of items moved during the summer while the school is closed for the holidays. This will enable us to use other areas of the school as staging posts while the move is in progress.
Once the archive is relocated the archive group plan to make it accessible to staff, students and local historians.
